There are many ways to analyze the financial markets and make investment decisions. The markets continue to evolve and we believe that multiple factors need to be considered.  Our process draws on different approaches and data from multiple sources.  Kerr Financial Group combines both quantitative and qualitative methods.

We begin with the big picture which involves identifying the characteristics of the current economic landscape.  Just as important as determining the existing conditions is predicting the economic path forward. We use multiple resources that aggregate dozens of economic data points to analyze the economy.

One of our sources continually updates over 25 data points that range across the various parts of the economy. Things that measure inflations, monetary conditions, interest rate moves, consumer demand, housing data, commodities, both business and consumer sentiment, etc. This process seeks to track the numerous dynamics that make up the economy and to highlight the dominant characteristics of the current situation.  In addition to the U.S., there is the same analysis for many international economies.

After the economic data is examined, we look for sectors that have had the best performance under those conditions.  Kerr Financial uses a combination of fundamental and fractal analysis.  The fundamental process seeks to identify opportunities and catalysts for price appreciation.  The fractal analysis involves trend and momentum indicators combined with probable prices ranges.  This is helpful in determining entry and exit levels and managing risk.    

Beyond the portfolio construction, we continually monitor the positions and economic conditions for increasing or decreasing positions.  We apply the above process to determine levels to trim or completely close a position.
